Highest comfortable IPD with 2016 version of Gear VR.

The 2016/2017 specs say the Gear VR has an IPD of 62mm. My eyes are around 68-69mm. I'm wondering if I should expect a comfortable experience. Also I've seen guides/videos of someone easily modding their 2015 version to increase its IPD.  Does anyone have any experience with attempting this on the newer ones?

I've never used the Gear, but i'd assume there'd be a slider to give some adjustment similar to the Rift, if not i'd think you could likely do it with some software ( there has to be an app. )  best bet is probably search Youtube for a video mate..  sorry i can't offer more help..

p.s. i believe the average IPD is around 63 or 65mm so you're pretty close to the ball park..

The gear VR has a fixed IPD. Only the focal length is adjustable. But I may have found an answer on reddit. An individual who created 3d printed lens holders to increase IPD on the 2015 model had a similar IPD to mine.  He stated the larger lenses on the 2016 model worked better for him and required no modification.
