Playing back 360 degree videos automatically on Gear VR, is it possible?

Hello,

I'd like to play back a 360 panoramic video in VR in a presentation or 'kiosk' mode, so the viewer doesn't have to click through the Gear VR interface every time to start it. Is it possible?

I can do it by making a video player app in Unity but the performance is not good compared to the native player of Gear VR.
