Steel City: Season One – A New Era Begins
Steel City: Season One – A New Era Begins
Big changes are coming to Steel City. I’ve been hard at work rebuilding the game from the ground up — and this time, all three zones are coming together into one massive, seamless open world.
The original aerial build was created using just one trim sheet due to limitations at the time. Now, with new tools and better texture options, I can finally bring Steel City to life with more visual detail and improved performance. It’s going to look better and run smoother than ever.
The old build was mostly powered by code blocks. But now, I'm shifting to a much more interactive and immersive setup — including a redesigned personal player UI, AI-driven audio, and a cleaner, more intuitive experience overall.
Here’s what to expect in Season One:
Simplified and mobile-friendly gameplay mechanics
A streamlined story mode that’s easier to follow
Better NPCs and more side quests to dive into
Outside missions and hidden content for advanced players and explorers
A smoother, more fun traversal system (ride hoverboards, climb rooftops, and fly around the city!)
Boss fights, drone wave events, and a deeper inventory and ranking system
The goal is to remove the clutter, keep the action flowing, and guide players through a fun, rewarding journey — without confusion or overwhelm. There's still tons to do for hardcore players, but everything will feel cleaner and more focused.
Season One kicks things off, and from here on, each season will bring new storylines and fresh content to keep Steel City evolving.
This is just the beginning. Let’s see how far we can take it.
