Feature Request: Local Live View for Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 without calls or public streaming

Hi Meta team and community,

I use the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 for demos and talks. I’m missing a simple way to see a live view from the glasses locally and route it into my tools. I don’t want to place a call and I don’t want to start a public livestream.

Goal

A local live preview of the glasses camera

directly inside the Meta AI app on the phone

optionally as a high quality signal on the desktop

This would let me show my point of view in presentations or use it as a virtual camera in OBS. I also want to integrate it into a Twitch workflow without the glasses initiating a platform livestream.

Why this matters

On stage I need to show my perspective in real time

In trainings and workshops I need a clean low latency window

In production I want a preview without another participant in a call and without platform dependencies

Privacy stays under my control because everything can remain local

Use cases

Conference talks with direct integration into presentation software

Live coding and hardware demos with OBS

Team support and usability testing without a third party in the call

Content creation with instant preview and desktop recording

User level requirements

Start and stop live view with a toggle in the Meta AI app

Low latency with stable frame rate

High quality up to Full HD with adaptive bitrate

Full screen and resizable window modes

Expose the feed to other apps on the phone or desktop as a camera source

Recording LED remains active

Possible implementation ideas

Phone preview inside Meta AI with a “Live View” mode

Cast to desktop over local network or via USB

Make it selectable in OBS and other apps through

a virtual webcam driver on desktop or

a shareable preview window from the Meta AI app

Developer pathway in Meta AI

local delivery over WebRTC or RTSP on the same network

simple same-network authentication

no cloud required

Technical wishlist

Resolution up to 1080p with adaptive framerate

End to end latency under 200 ms on local network

Option to toggle video stabilization

Option to forward audio from the glasses microphones

Ability to switch between camera and any available overlay view

I’d really appreciate an official solution for a local live view without a call and without public streaming. It would massively improve stage, training, and content workflows for many of us.
