Prescription and blue tooth hearing aids

I’m going through the process of buying Meta 2nd gen AI glasses. Being in the uk means I have to be extra vigilant that it’s compatible here. The two areas that I’m falling at are ordering prescription lenses and using the AI glasses with hearing aids.

 

The lens sizes for my regular glasses are 56 - 17 however when looking online the sizes they use are  50 x 22 or 53-22, are my sizes orderable or do I have to use the standard

The second point is I wear NHS hearing aids which use blue tooth, this allows me to connect to Other sources ie iPhone, iPad, my translation ear phones. Would I be able to use the Meta 2nd gen AI glasses and iPhone with the hearing aids? It would be silly buying glasses if I cant hear what is being said too well

Apologies if this is wrong place to post but I’m an “auld git” (Scot’s terminology for someone of latter years lol)

    Thank you for making a post about this very interesting subject, we would be happy to answer your questions and help you out.

     

    Prescription lenses for the Ai glasses are currently only available in the US, and therefore not be able to be purchased in the UK. Should you decide to add prescription lenses to the glasses after purchase, we would make you aware that if you do so and damage occurs during the process you will no longer be eligible for a warranty.

     

    As for the Hearing aids, they will not work with the glasses, as the glasses and the Hearing aids need to be connected to a phone separately, you will only be able to use one or the other at a time over Bluetooth to work as expected, and you will not be able to connect the Hearing aids to the glasses over Bluetooth.

     

    On a different note, the glasses are able to be returned 30 days after purchase if you do decide to buy the glasses, and are later dissatisfied with them. You can find more about our return policy here.

      Thanks for the reply! I was hoping that the glasses would allow two fits at the same time, I can currently use my hearing aids (GDLHA) and my translation buds at the same time (m8translator) both connected to my iPhone!

       

      it might be a case of META updating in later models! . Here’s hoping!
