“Hey Meta” not responding after glasses in case

My Ray-Ban Meta Headliner (Gen 2) glasses work fine overall, but after I put them in the case (power switch left ON as recommended), there’s no welcome chime and “Hey Meta” doesn’t respond when I take them out again.

Everything works if I toggle the power switch OFF → ON, but I shouldn’t need to do that.

Firmware and app are up to date, and I’ve reset/repaired several times.

Is this a known sleep/wake issue or firmware bug?

    Hi there Scott!

We heard you had a question about the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 glasses, and thought we'd drop in to lend a hand.

Your glasses not waking up when you take them out of the case can be an awkward pause in your routine, something we'd love to help avoid!

We'd recommend giving your glasses a hard reboot, if you haven't already. You can do that by:

To force restart your glasses using the Meta AI app:

    1. In the Meta AI App, tap the Glasses icon
    2. If you have multiple devices paired with the Meta AI mobile app, swipe left or right to select the device you want to use
    3. Tap Settings
    4. Tap General
    5. Tap Force restart

To manually force restart your glasses:

    1. Slide the power button back to power the glasses off.
    2. Press and hold the capture button.
    3. While still holding the capture button, slide the power button forward to turn the glasses back on.
    4. Once the status light LED turns red, release the capture button.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, feel free to drop us a private message here on the forums, or reach out to our fantastic email support team!

    We hope this helps!
