Broken arm on the side with the power button

Hi my Ray-Ban Meta glasses have a broken arm on the side with the power button.

Could you please tell me if you provide repairs and how to send them in, and whether I can power them on or retrieve my videos before repair, and how to do that. Thanks.

    Hello Kuiyibo,

We see that you could use some additional help with your Ray-Ban Meta glasses, as the arm containing the power button appears to be broken.

Your ability to save your videos depends on whether you can temporarily power on the glasses and connect them to your phone.

    Assess the damage:

    • If the arm is only cracked or bent: You might be able to hold the arm in the correct position to engage the power switch and turn the glasses on.
    • If the arm is completely detached: You may not be able to turn on the glasses, as the power switch and wiring are likely broken.
    1. Try to power on and connect:
      • Place the glasses in the charging case. If the glasses charge, you may have enough power to attempt a connection.
      • Hold the broken arm in place and slide the power switch towards the lens to turn the glasses on. A solid green notification light indicates they are powered on.
      • Open the Meta AI mobile app on your paired phone and connect to the glasses.
      • The app should begin auto-importing any un-synced media from the glasses to your phone. If not, tap the Import button in the app's gallery.
    2. Use voice commands: If the microphone is undamaged, you can try voice commands to power on the glasses and start the sync. Say "Hey Meta, sync my captures".

If you cannot turn on the glasses

Unfortunately, there is no other way to retrieve media from the glasses if they cannot be powered on and connected to your phone.

For further assistance, we recommend contacting Ray-Ban Support directly. They can review your warranty and determine what steps can be taken to resolve the issue.
