Can't connect to Garmin or Strava with my new Meta Oakley Vanguard

This Wednesday 22nd of October I bought the glasses on LA @ Dolphin Mall.

Then I took a flight back to my country in Ecuador and when I tried to activate the features I can't seem to find them. Can you tell me if this is becauyse of the geolocation? And if so, how can I play around it so I can get the features? I'm an athlete and I was expecting to use these from the very beginning and now I'm just sad I can't find a solution for this.

I somehow managed to install the Meta AI Connect IQ but it also showed before that it wasn't available in my region or something like that. I just want to use all the features I bought these sunglasses for, help me please.

  • I am getting help from the team but still this is just so weird, I have followed every single instruction but its just not working, can you do a reboot of the sunglasses from your end?

      HeyJeffcisneros​ I have exactly the same issue ! I am a French expatriate in Tunis, I bought them in France and just got to Tunis when I tried them I have exactly the same apps, no garmin nothing only about music how to resolve this, this is urgentMetaStoreHelp​

        We see you're having the exact same issue within your new Oakley Meta Vanguard and you're unable to connect to the Garmin app. As suggested in the thread previously, we would urge you check out the public article in regards to Garmin app connectivity and reach us directly by sending us a PM as it would allow us to gather more information around the issue.

  • Jeffcisneros​ would be good if you can reply it would help me and the community. Have you solved your issue. I have the same problem I flew from France to Tunis after buying them and the garmin nor Strava are showing in the list of app to connect with

    Hello i’m also experiencing same issue, tried everything updating the app, restarting both devices even doing factory reset on the vanguard lens, and also tried it pairing it with Samsung none of them worked, both apps doesn’t appear to me on the app neither Strava o Garmin Connect, the only ones that appear are Spotify, Apple Music (on the iphone) and Amazon Music. 

    Really would like some help and how can I solve this issue

    HolaJeffcisneros​, como vas? Lograste solucionar? Tengo el mismo inconveniente lo compré en USA las Oakley Vanguard y aquí en Ecuador no me funciona la opción de Strava y Garmin.

      Gracias por informarnos de este pequeño problema. Vemos que tienes exactamente el mismo problema con tus nuevas gafas Oakley Meta Vanguard: no puedes conectarte a las aplicaciones Garmin ni Strava. Entendemos perfectamente que esto puede suponer un problema para ti, ya que no puedes utilizar una función importante de las gafas. Por eso, nos gustaría ofrecerte algo de claridad sobre este asunto.

       

      La aplicación Meta AI cuenta con funciones específicas basadas en la ubicación, sobre todo cuando se combina con las gafas Meta AI (como las Oakley Vanguard inteligentes). Por este motivo, estas gafas no están disponibles para su compra en todos los países, sino sólo en los países admitidos.

       

      Las gafas Oakley Vanguard no funcionen con Strava en Ecuador porque las funciones principales de Meta AI están restringidas a determinados países.  Desafortunadamente, Ecuador no figura en la lista de países compatibles.
