Frustrating Experience with the appointment for the Meta Display
I went to my scheduled appointment in Houston. Tried the device and got very excited about it. When I said that I wanted to buy it, the frustration started: 1. There is a waitlist, 2. They are not authorized to sell the device with prescription, 3. I would have to fly to either Dallas or San Antonio to order prescription lenses, 4. The device can not have progressive lenses, 5. Lenses cannot be polarized.
i wish I knew before hand so I would not have wasted my time. I have an advice to Meta: Only release a product when you can fulfill demand. BTW this is not my first bad experience with Meta. I am an early adopter of gadgets and have a ray ban stories that no longer connect to my cell phone and I can’t find out if there is a possibility to have it fixed because I was told the company stopped supporting those. I really hope they do better in the future!
