How to reset Vanguard case?

My Oakley Meta Vanguard case is stuck on 14% charge. This is clearly a software issue as I can charge used glasses in that case to 100%, while not connected to a charger.

I'm looking for a way to factory reset the case, but all documentation points to "push the button next to the USB-C connector". This case has zero buttons.
