Instagram not refeshing

Hello, I recently bought a pair of meta ray ban display glasses. They’re awesome, but no matter what I try instagram won’t behave as it should. The app is stuck in the state it was in when first setting up the glasses. So any new messages received or sent are not shown at all. 

I’ve tried factory resetting, soft & hard resetting, unlinking instagram, rebooting my phone etc. 

Anyone else face the same issue, and potentially even solve it? :)
