iPad Meta AI app does not work without smart glasses

I do not have smart glassses. I am just trying to use the Meta AI app. It works on my iPhone, but not iPad. The app always takes me to a glasses setup screen with a list of glasses to choose from. It is impossible to get around it to use the AI.

Many people have said this is in the app reviews. Look at the one star reviews. This forum is the closest I could find to a Meta AI app support forum.

When I launch the app, there are two options. "Get started with Meta AI" and "Set up a device". BOTH of them take you to the same place - a login screen then the smart glasses setup.
