Live streaming removed???

I bought the Ray-Ban Wayfarer Gen 2 specifically for live streaming on Instagram, which was advertised as a supported feature — and already available on Gen 1. But while I was waiting for the glasses to arrive (it took a few weeks because I had to get prescription lenses fitted), I found out that Meta silently removed all live streaming features!

Seriously? How is that even possible??

And to make things worse, I can’t even return them because I had prescription lenses installed and requested an invoice (where I live, you can’t return items if you ask for an invoice).

Is there any hope that the feature will be restored, or is there some kind of workaround? Otherwise, I honestly wonder what the point is of having Meta glasses that can only record short vertical clips of up to 3 minutes.
