Meta glasses Camera use Ray Ban wayfarer

How can I turn on the camera feature in Meta Classes so I can take pictures of my surroundings and have them explained? It’s not working — photos and videos work fine otherwise.

    Hello tobiramone.2025 !

Thank you ever so much for reaching out. We’re delighted to hear that your Meta Ray-Ban Wayfarer smart glasses are capturing photos and videos beautifully, but we understand how frustrating it must be when the AI-powered explanation feature isn’t responding as expected. Let’s get you back to exploring your surroundings with ease and delight.

To activate the camera-based Meta AI feature, please ensure the following steps are in place: To use the camera for Meta AI's "Look and ask" feature, first, enable the "Camera Use" setting in the Meta AI app by going to Settings > Meta AI and toggling the feature on.

Then, you can take a photo or video using the glasses' physical button or touchpad and say, "Hey Meta, describe what I'm seeing" or another similar command to get an explanation from Meta AI. Ensure your mobile device's operating system also grants permission for the Meta AI app to access the camera.

In order to learn more about this, please look into this public article here: How to capture photos and videos with AI glasses and Ask Meta AI about what you see on AI glasses.

Should you require further assistance, we’d be delighted to walk you through the process step-by-step. Your experience matters deeply to us, and we’re here to ensure your smart glasses perform at their very best. If so, please send us a private message.
