Meta raybans displays do not disconnect Bluetooth when off face and in case charging.

Just received glasses in noticing that well they’re in the case charging my Bluetooth on my phone (iPhone) has not disconnected. I have the setting on that. It should be disconnecting when I remove them so that’s not working. I’ve tried toggling that on and off still the same even turning Bluetooth on and off it’s reconnecting despite the glasses are in the case charging that should not be happening, especially in the case it should just be a given if they’re charging Bluetooth should not be connected as they can’t even be worn on your face and charge. Clearly a bug has most recent update not a good first experience. How do we resolve?

  • Further troubleshooting shows this seems to occur when the glasses are in the case, charging, and you are charging the case at the same time. Still, if the glasses are in the case, this should not be happening. You should be able to charge the case with the glasses in it and not have them connect to Bluetooth unless say, the case is open? Poor design; they need to fix this with updates. Also, I noticed that the band also was still connected to Bluetooth when not on the wrist. I suppose I can understand the band similar to a smart watch; put the glasses remaining connected, it’s been routing all my alerts, system sounds, and everything else to the glasses, and I wasn’t even aware that it was still connected to the Bluetooth.

      Hey jayce2001nys,

We came across your posts and wanted to help you out! Firstly, we're so glad you were able to get your hands on the new Meta Ray-Ban Displays - welcome to the future of wearable technology!

Thanks for letting us know all of the various troubleshooting that you've tried, and for giving us so much detail about the issue you're facing - that's really helpful!

Can we ask that you turn the glasses off before placing them in the charging case, and when not in use - this should stop the Bluetooth connection while you aren't wearing the glasses!

Please also ensure that the glasses are fully up-to-date - you can find out how to update your glasses here! You should also check that the Meta AI app is running on the latest software version.

We would also recommend unpairing and re-pairing your glasses from and to the Meta AI app again, and see if this changes anything.

As always, if the issue persists after trying these steps, please get in touch with us privately so that we can look further into this for you! To get in touch privately just click our name to navigate to our profile and select 'Send a Message'!

We hope to hear from you soon!

Have the same issue. Have it turn off to put in case. This was never the issue with gen 1.
