Microphone issue with calls

I recently went out of state and noticed that my mic is no longer working for phone calls.  I have audio, it seems to be working for translate, the hey meta function was hit or miss.  I have a fold 4 Samsung it has worked with this phone for year.  

Any ideas.  I have unpaired the glasses. Deleted the app from the phone, factory reset the glasses. Hard reset of glasses to no avail.

 

Any other suggestions are appreciated

    Sorry should have said meta wayfarer glasses to be specific

    same issue. not even had them for 2 weeks and the `hey meta` was working sporadically. Now, the microphone doesn't work at all. never dropped or damaged. Tried all the troubleshooting steps and nothing.
