Oakley Vanguard "Auto capture" feature

Hi, if I set the auto capture function to automatic when I start an activity with my Garmin watch, there is no problem, but if I set it to manual and try to activate it vocally, I can't get it to start. I am Italian and I have set the Vanguard Meta language to Italian. Do you think it's a translation issue? In Italian, auto capture is called “acquisizione automatica.” I've tried everything, even pronouncing it clearly in English, but I can't get it to work.

Can you help me? This is really frustrating. I don't want it automatic because it is draining the battery, I just want to let it start when I decide it.

Thank you very much.

  • You want to take a video by voice and not activate auto capture right?

    Just say

"okay Meta please start a hyper-lapse video"

or "... please start slow motion recording"

or "... please start a video"

and Meta AI will start video recording in the selected mode.

I hope that will help you taking amazing videos handsfree :)

No, it's the exact opposite. I know perfectly well how to start a normal video by voice (due to linguistic differences, if I say Hyperlapse with an English accent, it doesn't work. I have to say iperlapse—exactly as it is spelled—ahahahaha).

I want to start auto capture by voice, but if I say:

      “Hey Meta, start auto capture”

      the command doesn't work.

Itried with: auto capture, auto cattura, cattura automatica (it takes a photo), acquisiszione automatica... everything, there is no way to make it work correctly.

I'm pretty sure it is a language related problem. Sometimes the voice replies to me: I still cannot do it but I'm improving day by day (or something like this)
