Oakley Vanguard's Microphone not working since last software update


Happening to me now, 6 months old and used maybe 10 times.

I have done everything the terrible Meta support pages suggest.
Un-paired and re-paired.
Restored to factory
Cleared the speaker.
Uninstalled and re-installed the software on my phone.

Release version 124 and since then the glasses dont respond to Hey Meta or OK Meta and nobody can here me if i answer a call or try and respond to a WhatsApp message. Strangely though if i want to use the translate function that works just fine, go figure.

I have removed all app connections that i had previously setup, tried in English UK and English USA langauges, nothing works to get the glasses to hear the Hey Meta or OK Meta voice prompts.

  • I have exactly the same problem, any joy with a fix.  I have tried to report a problem to Oakley but with no joy so far. 

  • No fix, no support from Meta, no support from Oakley. They are basically very expensive heavy sunglasses now. 

     

    If Meta actually allowed software updates to be rolled back rather than use customers to test the updates that would at least get the glasses working again, but they don't.

      Oh dear, not boding well for mine either then.   Everything else seems to be working fine now on mine other than hey meta.   Records sounds on videos fine, translates, etc. 🤷

  • Don't do anything in the glasses, just logout from the Meta account on the app and login again, this worked for me.

      Doesn't work me for. It says in my original message uninstalled and reinstalled and removed all app connections.
