Premium price, useless outside the US.

Meta, we need answers on Meta glasses feature availability

I paid the full premium price for Meta glasses, but the full features are not available in my country, Trinidad and Tobago. Key functions that were advertised, including Meta AI, voice features, and live translation, are restricted or missing here.

Why must customers outside the US pay the same premium cost for a limited device? Right now, without these features, the Meta glasses offer no better value than much cheaper alternatives.

Meta, please address this publicly:

Do you intend to provide a software update with full feature support for Trinidad and Tobago and other unsupported regions? If yes, what is the timeline?

If full features will not be made available, will you refund customers who purchased under the expectation of full functionality?

Premium price should mean premium experience, regardless of geography. Customers deserve transparency and fair treatment.

Er, supported countries are clearly listed on Meta's website.

Meta explicitly lists supported countries, and Trinidad & Tobago is not one of them. That means the product was never marketed as fully functional there.

Why must customers outside the US pay the same premium cost for a limited device?

Your logic is rather distorted as the glasses aren't officially sold in Trinidad & Tobago at all. Anyone buying them there is purchasing through an unofficial reseller. That means Meta doesn't control the price, the warranty, or the expectations set by the seller. Do you really think an official seller is going to say "oh, you don't live in a supported country? Here's a big discount for you."? Of course not. And if you buy from an unofficial reseller, then buyer beware, it's up to you to carefully research the product you buy 🤷‍♂️.

If full features will not be made available, will you refund customers who purchased under the expectation of full functionality?

If the device wasn't bought from Meta or an authorized retailer in a supported region, Meta has no obligation to refund or guarantee feature parity.

The issue isn't that Meta owes unsupported regions full functionality - it's that the current situation creates confusion and inconsistent expectations.

Btw, this is the community forum. There's no official support here. Meta won't answer your questions.
