RayBan Meta Gen 2 19.2 firmware issue

I got my glasses about 3 months ago, waited patiently for the 19.2 FW update. Finally got it about 3-4 weeks ago. HOWEVER, I see NONE of the features that is supposed to come with 19.2 (like 5 minute video recording) I tried all combinations of settings... I reset the glasses... I even joined the early access program... features like 1080p 60FPS, 5 minute recording are just not there. No video stabilization... Yet Version says 19.2... any ideas? maybe a complete factory reset?

      Is there any indication as to when Meta plans to complete the roll-out of all these features that people have been waiting for?All of these new and promised features being advertised and then we have to wait a few months for them to roll out. If I knew my Gen 1's were going to have more features then my Gen 2's I wouldn't have bought them. 
      At this point my gen 2 metas are frustrating and not worth wearing.

        Agreed. MetaStoreHelp​, we're not getting features that are being advertised. That we bought devices based on. 

        Can we speed up the roll out?

      I was out today and and showing a friend the META AI Glasses, I own the META Gen 2 ,   I explained to my friend about the firmware upgrades that dont show up and I told him  not to buy as META has a real problem in product support, APPLE and/or Google I believe are working on Glasses,  Will certainly look at changing brands.  All I can say about this Firmware issue is META sux....... Sorry I wasted money on them.

  • It’s a known issue — lots of Gen 2 owners report that even after updating to 19.2, the new features (5-min recording, 1080p/60FPS, stabilization, etc.) still don’t appear. Meta seems to be doing a server-side, phased rollout, so the firmware number updates first but the features unlock later depending on region and account. Since you already reset the glasses, updated the app, and joined early access, it’s likely not a problem on your end — just that the features haven’t been enabled for your region/device yet. Waiting for the rollout to complete is usually the fix; if nothing changes in a couple of weeks, contact Meta support.

    I bought two Gen2 glasses for my boys.

    One has 5 minutes and stabilization.

    The other doesn't..... Make no sense and highly annoying.

      That would be extremely frustrating! I’m getting pretty annoyed with the rollout process oh features between old and new hardware. They should make sure new hardware gets the features rolled out to them before older hardware. Doing it the other way offers no incentive to purchase the updated hardware.

      But I will say your pretty cool for getting your boys some metas, that’s a pretty rad gift.

        Well, it's been 3 weeks and still nothing... . MetaStoreHelp​ Can we get any update on a timetable? I don't understand why you even rolled out 19.2 if it wasn't ready. For those who did get all the features, it should have been a pilot program. It is only frustrating to those who didn't get the features and a bad look for Meta.

  • 3 months waiting for promised features that are locked away by a software update that simply needs to switch on server side. This is a masterclass on how to ensure your customers don't buy from you ever again.

      Yep! It’s just server side provisioning issues. They basically can go in and flip some flags and run your account will have its features. Been fighting with Meta for over two weeks now to check my provisioning and they keep giving me the run around. Unless they make some major progress and update my glasses soon, I’ll just sell both pair and wash my hands of meta
