Unable to connect meta ai to garmin app.

I tried connecting the meta ai to the garmin app but the meta ai app doesn't bring me to the garmin app. I've tried going through meta's support where I tried resetting the meta app and making sure the garmin app both connect and connect IQ are updated. It just brings me to this page and i am unable to connect the garmin app to meta. This is the page right after I press yes, allow to garmin on the meta AI app.

    Hi JethroChu!

We understand that you're having problems to connect the Garmin app with your Oakley Meta Vanguard glasses, we'd love to help out with that.

We can see that you have made sure you are in a supported location and that you have a compatible Garmin device. Thank you for letting us know! To fix the issue of Meta AI not connecting to your Garmin app, please ensure that both the apps and the glasses are updated, try restarting devices, and re-establish the connection in the Meta AI app's 'App connections' settings, making sure your Garmin account is linked and the specific Meta AI data field is added to your Garmin activities.

If the glasses show as disconnected (have a slash through them) on the Garmin device, try the following.

    1. Open the Meta AI app
    2. Ensure the glasses are being worn, and that they are powered on
    3. If this doesn’t work, go to the glasses settings in the Meta AI app and relink your Garmin account and device
    4. Still not connecting, continue to the “Can’t Connect Garmin Device” troubleshooting below

    Can’t Connect Garmin Device

    1. Check that the Garmin device is connected to the Meta AI app

           a. Open the Meta AI app

           b. Go to the Devices tab

           c. Open your device’s settings

           d. Select App connections and look for Garmin

           e. If you don’t see that your device is connected, select Garmin and then connect your device.

           2. If you see that your device is already connected, then make sure that you’ve started an activity on your Garmin device that has the Meta AI Data Field.

           3. If you see the glasses icon with a slash in the Meta AI Data Field, this indicates that your device has been set up properly but isn’t currently connected. Make sure that you have the Meta AI app open on your phone and your glasses are connected and powered on.

           4. If you see that the Meta AI Data Field has the glasses icon without the slash, then you should be able to ask Meta AI about your workout stats.

           5. If this doesn’t work, try restarting your Garmin, glasses, and the Meta AI app on your phone.

We hope this helps! Thank you and we look forward to hearing back from you!

Have a wonderful day in the meantime.

Hello I tried all this and everything has been up to date but it still hasn't been able to connect. I believe the problem is with the app? I just downloaded the app so it should be up to date. It just keeps bringing me to the language page after I allow garmin to be integrated into Meta ai on the app. It doesn't take me to the garmin app from the meta ai app.

  • If have the exact same thing! Based in the Netherlands. I’ve reinstalled the apps (all of them) and tried all of the above, alas no cigar…
