I am having the same issue but mine are band new. I can get them to charge. I plug in the case and it goes yellow/orange for 5 seconds then black. I’ve tried different chargers and outlets

I purchased the first generation Meta Ray-bans at a retail store in Mexico. I was on the beach and I was sweating a lot. When I went home the glasses were glitching. I put them in a bag full of rice and couldn't save them. I tried to bring them back to the store and they only have a 30 day guarantee. I tried to get support from Meta and so far have not been able to get help. It had been 2 months since I bought them. What a waste of money. I then decided to try the Meta Oakley Vanguards because the were supposed to be more water resistant. I haven't even sweated with these glasses and they just stopped charging for no reason. I can't believe that I spend hundreds of dollars on two different pairs of Meta glasses and both became faulty within the first couple of months of ownership. Is there any one from meta that can help?

Hi Guys, I am facing same issue with my brand new Meta Rayban Wayfarer Gen 2. I have literally tried everything but it’s not charging ;( any help will be appreciated

Hey everyone!! I’ve seen a lot of people having this issue in different places, including myself.
What worked for me was basically putting the glasses inside the case and then restarting it by holding the button on the bottom of the case for about 15–20 seconds. The LED will turn red and then white.
After that, the case resets, recognizes the glasses again, and starts charging normally.

this worked for me. must be a software issue. Based on how fast they can go through the battery it's a problem

Update - Fully charged and working normally, have used and recharged, All is ok.

Second update. Stuffed again. Cannot be bothered with them anymore. Love them but not if I'm spending and hour or more every few days resetting the case and throwing the glasses in the freezer (which still works fyi). Going to try for a refund

What did you do differently? I noticed issues after the latest update. Not sure if it was a coincidence or they were just meant to mess up. Been having this issue for about 4-5 days already.

Pop the glasses in the freezer, hold the reset on the case down for 20 seconds or so to rest it. remove the glasses, clean the contacts (again, try this first obviously). Doc them. Normally works first try, sometimes back in the freezer for another 30 minutes. I have noticed the case does not seem to like the car.

So random. I saw a facebook forum someone put their glasses in a the freezer for 3 hours and they started charging. I was out of options and filling in a warranty claim form with 5% battery left so I put them in the freezer. After 30 minutes I thought i would try and the light is orange... Probably not meta approved but they're charging and I wish I had tried this before the factory reset.

Hello, same problem for me.
case is green when glasses are not in, but as long as I put the glasses on, it blinks Red.
annoying, especially at this pricing.

Hi kind of same problem here with glass unable now to pair or charge just after using them like 4 times...

I have two Meta Vanguard and they are both one month old and both can't charge (case is green LED but the when I put the glasses it blinks red.). One of those is still 67% battery ao the glasses are fine, the other went all the way to 0%.
I've cleaned the contacts but nothing! Frustrating
