Video flicker in Europe / 60hz shutter speeds
I hope this gets some traction since I can't really believe this isn't a thing yet.
Is there any chance that the developers at Meta might be able to add a support via future firmware update for European video shutter speeds and/or frame-rates based on the 50hz power phase? Sadly the glasses are very much unusable (without a post-production de-flicker) for video recording in many situations here in Europe (and other 50hz based countries) because there is a prominent light flicker and banding present while shooting under artificial lights that are powered by a 50hz source.
If implementing other frame-rates like 24fps and 25fps is tough for the current hardware framework it would be at least great to be able to manually switch and force (in the Meta AI app settings) the automatic exposure system to 50hz based shutter speeds so the 30p video wouldn't flicker.
I believe this is a major feature that should be implemented since the glasses are now being widely sold here in Europe. And such settings are present basically on all video-capture devices out there. Hope it is something that can be done fairly easily and that someone from Meta directly could chime in on this. I already submitted this to the devs via the feedback inside the Meta AI app.
Thank you so much!
