Option to Permanently Remove Unwanted Apps from Library.

Hi Meta Team,

I’d like to raise a concern on behalf of users who are unable to permanently remove certain apps or games from their library on the Meta horizon app and headset. Even after uninstalling, these titles still appear in the account’s library, which can be confusing, especially for users who no longer wish to see or access them.

While we understand that uninstalled apps don’t consume storage, having the option to permanently hide or remove them from the library would greatly improve user experience and organization.

Please consider adding this feature in a future update. It would mean a lot to users who want more control over their content.

  • I really hate to break this to you but both them options hide\remove have already been added to the OS for some lucky people. I have "Hide" (been around for a year ish) and some people have "Remove" some have both and some have none it all depends if you won the meta lottery for these features. I'm assuming you must be new to the Quest ecosytem to not know this.

  • @ZiggyLK I totally get this—having leftover apps in the library after uninstalling can be messy. I found these steps useful for keeping things a bit cleaner:

    • Uninstall the app from the headset first.
    • Then go to Meta account > Library > Hidden and hide it (if available).
    • Restart the headset to refresh the library view.
    • If having problem in uninstalling, use an "App Uninstaller" that delete with app with all its data.
