Yep, same with my Portal device. It's made the product literal trash, which is where I'll be throwing it shortly. Horrible policy and terrible customer service around it. All support could do was direct me here to surely be ignored. Insane they were selling these devices just a few years ago and now removed a major advertised feature. I've purchased two Meta hardware devices in the past, but will never touch one again. They're giving very little consideration for the long-term effects of such bad policy. This should be a class action lawsuit, if anyone would take it up.
