ADB connection isn't working.

I've been trying to connect my quest pro to my MacBook to use sidequest but it will not register on either that it is connected by USB or that a device is even recognized. I've tried about 5 different USB C chords including the meta brand one and none of them have worked. I have developer mode turned on and verified my developer account but it still will not work. I factory reset my headset too and that still didn't resolve the problem. I'm at a loss here and I really need help.
