Unable to release approved App Lab application immediately

Our app release got stuck in a strange state where:
- We have an initially approved app for release - that cannot be scheduled for release earlier than two weeks (not sure why?)
- Have an updated App Submission with new release scheduled for "immediate release," - but that has been probably blocked by the scheduled release of the initial version.

Is there any way to un-block this and release the app immediately?
