API for overlays

Hi. Seems there is no way in the API to add overlay / popups / notifications etc. over running applications. Is there a roadmap showing if and when this will be available to developers?

    bump. Not sure if the question is exactly the same as mine, but seems close enough. would like to write external calls to my system that allow for alerting and notification of stuff happening outside of VR. Such that it uses the built in Oculus notifications that overlay over any application.

    My thought is to add integrations into some of my home automation:
    - Someone is at your front door
    - your mom is calling
    - your wife is calling
    - you left the stove on
    - your house is on fire
