Applications just dissapear

Today I turned on the quest 2 and all the apps that I uploaded to AppLab on beta disapear. The ones that were installed just move to unknown apps but I cant access to the other ones. I search for them on the store but once they show and I click on them, and they dissapear.

Is the verification something to do with that? It seems the need of a verification will be on Aug 16 so... dont know what is happening.

  • I'm seeing the same thing - most apps in release channels don't appear on the Quest.  Any ideas Oculus?

  • I just logged into my Quest 2 to do some application debugging -- and my dev app isn't in my library on the headset!  If I run it from the Developer Hub, it fails authentication with "app is not in the library" message (paraphrase).  If I look on my phone Oculus app, it's in my library on my phone, but if I click it, it gives me a mysterious "no internet connection" error (which is nonsense).

    So yeah, what did you break, Meta?  I can't work on my project.

    EDIT: And yes I did reboot my headset.  This is ridiculous.

  • Same thing happened to us, our apps disappeared from all our developer's headsets this morning and still haven't come back. I wish we could get a response from Meta/Oculus about what is going on.

    Leaving the main post below for historical reasons  


    We went so far as to create a new app, and it did briefly work/authenticated with meta properly. On second launch it was no longer able to authenticate and was removed from the headset remotely.

    FWIW we’re based in Asia/Japan and I noticed some other affected devs seem to have Asian names or Asian sounding company names. Perhaps a regional authentication server issue…?

    We’ve got several inquiries in to meta, but there’s no clear support path for these kinds of issues so we’re not confident of a reply anytime soon. best is for everyone affected to keep posting here.

  • I had this issue twice. And it happened again and nothing magically came back. This is frustrating.!!!!
