Controlling home devices over WIFI with quest

I am looking to make a universal remote kind of app with quest 3. My idea is to control devices connected to the same wifi network like AC, TV, and any other smart applicances. I dont have any idea about if meta has allowed access to those things. Any insight on this would be helpful.
