6 years agoI don't have "more setting" button to enable "developer mode"
Hi,
I tried to find the "more setting" option so i could turn on the "developer mode" option.
But i don't have it.
I am using Galaxy S9 plus as a mobile device.
Oculus quest as VR device.
And there is no such option as "more settings".
Someone can help me figure it out?
Thanks.

Please update your Oculus app to the latest version, as this issue has been fixed: https://forums.oculusvr.com/t5/General-Development/Developer-Mode-Issues-Update/m-p/892227#M2012

- On my S9+, the developer mode option wasn't visible by default, either. I found an article that said to go into the phone settings, find the phone info section, and tap on a specific piece of info for a specific number of times. I believe it was: tap on the android version number 7 times, but either or both of those could be wrong. After getting it right, it displayed a message saying "you are now a developer!" or something similar, and then the developer settings became available. You should be able to google using that info and find what you need. Good luck! :-)
- hoang_viet_900ExplorerYou have to download oculus app on your pc or your phone. Then you pairing your VR headset on that app . At option "more setting" you will be able to active developer mode.

Its not there...- NanaPlaysExplorer
Did you ever find a way to get to developer mode? I've wasted hours and hours trying to find an answer. All the youtube tutorials about sideloading from SideQuest give the same instructions (which don't work if you can't get to "more settings". I'm beyond frustrated. I think Oculus/Facebook hid the settings/more settings icons so you couldn't spend money elsewhere.

Do you have a developer account? You can't enable developer mode without developer account.

If you don't have more settings maybe you should reset and pairing your VR headset agian. It's had to be there under "controllers battery remaining :s Good luck- Spoinks6633Honored Guest
Me and a friend have done this and still to no avail, the more settings option and developer options seem to just not exist at all
- heynewtProtegeCheck to see if the Oculus Quest listed in the app just says "Nearby". If it just says nearby you won't see the "more settings" option. You have to click on it again and make sure it says "Connected". You have to enable Bluetooth to connect to the Quest.
- the_ankaHonored GuestI don't know if you solved this but I've experienced the same issue.then I've changed my headset's language to 'english us' (for some other reason) and after that finally more settings just appeared. I'm not sure if it's related to language but it worked for me.
- michal_lacko_3Explorersame problem as OP, i see the device on my phone, i have developer mode, its connected but there is no "more settings" when i select the device.
- AnonymousI have the same problem. Although I used this button before, I cannot access now. "More settings" does not appear. So I factory reset and ran into a dreadful problem. The device was unable to download system software data from the internet and installation did not occur. Oculus said we can change, but I didn't accept it because it would be a painful process for me, I had to solve it myself. I searched for a week or two and manually installed a system on the device. Now I still don't have the "more settings" option. If anyone knows, please explain.
- LungdogHonored GuestThe post above solves this. If the app is saying headset is nearby, you will not see the option. Click on your headset so it says Connected and the more options appears.
