Meta 3 or Meta Pro

I own a Pro and have the Quest3 on order. Since Quest3 hasn't been shipped yet it's really hard to give you a definitive answer but my gut feeling is that Quest3 is the way to go.
For standalone VR then Quest3 is a no brainer, it has a much newer chip and is a more powerful device. It also has much better passthrough. Unless you absolutely need eye and face tracking then the Pro is not the one to get.
For PCVR things get more complicated. According to the specs, the Quest3 offers the highest resolution of 2064×2208 on an LCD display. The Pro has QLED panels with quantum dot layer and local dimming and a display resolution of 1800×1920. Not as high as the Quest3 but with arguably more vibrant color reproduction and contrast (better blacks). Comfort could be an issue too. Pro is a bit of a love it or hate it (I personally find it super comfortable) and I love the open design which makes it easier to move from PC to VR. Quest 3 is more of a closed face gasket design. I'm sure there'll be 3rd party headstraps too if you find the Meta ones uncomfortable.
All in all, and considering the price difference, I just think you're better off with Quest3.
