Oculus Go Developer Kits Part of Oculus Start?
Evening all,
The team and myself are very interested in developing our recent release of Pixel Arcade for the new Oculus Go platform. Have development kits been released already? If so is there any other application that should be completed?
Very excited to utilize the 'world playspace' it offers and feel it would be an excellent addition to the marketplace if we could release it there. Luckily we should have a quick turn around time due to the way we have developed the game heavily focusing on optimization.
Thanks - best of luck with your projects.

- NyanBladeExplorerYeah the Go dev kits are part of Oculus Start however I haven’t heard anything yet. I would love to start optimising my game for the 72fps mode.
- RJdoesVRProtegeThe Oculus Start member page says kits were shipping out "beginning of March" in February but I don't think anyone has heard anything since. They said they'd update us soon though, they were probably waiting for press to try it out at GDC first.
- corriedotdevExplorerMuch appreciated guys. We have already put action into place to get it released as soon as possible for the consumer. Thanks again
- l0g1kProtegeLast time someone asked, they said to keep an eye on the Oculus Developers twitter. But, it looks like there is not really any news. I wish they would ship already!
- GEMISISAdventurerLast rumors I'd heard were that you had to have a game that was mostly ready to go for it (or at least, able to release within the next month or 2). Not sure if that has changed since then (I was hearing about this back in December), but would be nice to have one as it would make testing and demoing a heck of a lot easier.

You can do that right now! Just target finishing your game rendering within 13.9 ms instead of the current 16.7 ms. Oculus Go has juicy new features to make GPU render faster, but hitting a faster frame rate also requires lower CPU usage. Especially if your game is CPU bound, that means doing good old optimization e.g. lower draw calls.
