UE5 Shared Spaces + Shared Spatial Anchors
Hey there,
I'm currently facing a challenge while attempting to combine the SharedSpaces and SharedSpatialAnchors Templates. The issue arises when trying to integrate the framework of SharedSpaces into the sharedspatialanchors template, or vice versa. Specifically, I'm unable to get the SharedSpaces framework to function properly within the sharedspatialanchors template. On the other hand, when I try to incorporate the sharedspatialanchors functionality into the sharedspaces template, I'm unable to get the Passthrough feature to work.
Additionally, I've encountered intermittent compile errors with the OculusPlatform Plugin (OVR), particularly when compiling for Android. Strangely enough, I don't encounter any problems when starting the engine itself.
I've been working on resolving this for quite some time, but I always seem to hit a roadblock. I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you in advance for your help!

Have you made any progress on this. I have been stuck on this for weeks as well. I cant get SharedSpaces to pass a clean shipping build. Not sure if there is someone willing to connect of this for some one on one but would def donate $$ at this point just to have a clean template with the SharedSpaces features that has clean shipping and can upload to MQDH.

I am sorry, but I am still stuck on that. I think that with the release of the Quest 3 will someone of Meta make that possible, but I don't really know if they currently care. π
And I am not the best in this area, so I don't think that I am capable of fixing it, only someone who 24/7 works with that or works at Meta and is one of the Developer of the SharedSpaces would be able in my opinion.- ArrestedInkExplorer
I ended up giving up on the source build of the engine and instead created my own modified version. You do not have to use this version to build for app labs or to use Photon. I went with using a Photon Plugin from UE Marketplace along with ensuring the MetaXR plugin was copied to the Plugins/Marketplace directory in the engine root. I had to reconnect the subsystem references but its up and running and builds clean no depreciation errors or conflicts and passes all the VRC's for app labs!
