Recording With Gear VR

Recently i've been trying to record video with the Gear VR, the video is smooth, but one thing that really captures my attention is that the aspect ratio is a little weird, it looks more like a 4:3 rather than a 16:9, i was wondering if there was a setting to change it or if anyone knows anything about future developments to change it or if i'm just SOL and too picky with my video settings :/

    From what I've seen, there's unfortunately no way to do this currently.  This is because it's capturing from the (pre-warped) eyes buffer specifically if I'm remembering correctly.
