Left menu button click causes Hello_XR app to crash.

Using the latest Android Studio and running latest OpenXR's hello_xr, clicking on left controller menu button causes the game to crash. Can someone please tell me how to fix this issue? I've been reading up on the OpenXR Input API, but I find it very complicated and unable to help me fix this issue.
