meta quest developer hub issue
First of all, I think I might have posted this in the wrong category… apologies in advance.
Best regards, I’m new to this forum and to the community.
I want to take my first steps in dev, experiment a bit, and see how far one can get being creative with the features that devices offer.
Along the way, I started setting up the Meta Quest Developer Hub. Everything went fine, but I have a question. I switched the Link version to Public Test. My device is now set to Public Test, but I still haven’t received OS v81.
My question is: does switching the Link version to Public Test not actually push the device to update its version?
I assume it doesn’t and that it just changes the communication channel, but I’d like to confirm to be sure.
Another question: is there a way to manually push v81 through ADB?

Hey there!
Welcome to the forum and the community, we're happy to have you here and excited to have you take your first steps! We're also eager to see what you bring to the space!
Insofar as the Public Test Channel is concerned, no, switching will not automatically push the device's version to update and manual updates to pre-release are also not available.
However, the most recent pre-release version of the software is gradually rolled out to enrolled developers and will automatically push to your device as it becomes available to you.
You can take a look at our documentation covering the Public Test Channel here for more information: https://www.meta.com/help/quest/1459445231070050/
Please let us know if you have any other questions - we're happy to help!
