0.7 and Win10
hi all,
any announcement on Win10 and the upcoming 0.7 SDK? I could find nothing regarding that on the announcement blog post. I have been holding off the upgrade for 0.6, but since i get a little nagging MS icon in the task bar every time i boot up, it would be nice to know.
regards

- kondrakProtegeThe best thing you can do at this point is wait until 0.7 is released and see the changelog. Win10 update will be available for free until July next year, so by that time I'm pretty sure Win10 issues will be resolved ;)
- nicpro85Honored GuestDoes anyone think we can hope for a Windows 10 compatibility in the coming 0.7 runtime ?
- GabkicksExplorermy hmd isn't being detected. :( i am on windows 10 with 0.7 installed :/

ahh its working now :) Now I just have to wait for developers to add .7 support heh... maybe even LiquidVR support? my 2nd r9 290's been in my pc doing nothing. - MeshuginaHonored Guest

Yes! and i tried everything everyone else did to get this working... still, to no avial! :( again, very frustrating.
Advice? Any ideas as to when an updated runtime, etc. will be out (that doesn't turn off the tracker)?
Also, like others, I had to explicitly set the Debug mode to DK2 (in the Config Utility); otherwise, nothing turned on!!! - HatchetforceHonored Guest

Is your remark a confirmation of Win 10 support? I ask because I rolled back from 10 to 8.1 due to the fact previous runtimes would not function for me in the least. - cyberealityGrand Champion@Meshugina: The Debug HMD is a feature for game developers to test their apps. It won't help you to play games.
@Hatchetforce: Yes, 0.7 introduced preliminary Windows 10 support. Where have you been? - HatchetforceHonored Guest

As a person that had to roll back to 8.1, I have been waiting on an official announcement. If you go look at the official Blog, not one word on the 0.7 page about Windows 10 compatibility. Am I supposed to test this for myself so I can waste time installing 10 and then rolling back again? Who puts info on the Blog? WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN? A horse was great for transportation back in the day but it is not a useful platform to speak to people that are supporting your company with their work. Your people are not known for providing information on a timely basis. When the date was announced for 0.7 and then the date was missed, there wasn't a single post on the Blog about the delay. People on the forum were guessing like they were playing the lottery.
I look at your sticky here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=25316
and no update to your remarks there either. Efficiency and information, such as an email informing users of the download availability with a link to a change log, a real change log, are far better tools than hopes and guesswork.
