360 heros camera mount

Overall I say it's not bad. Although I always feel like I need to cross my eyes a bit like those dimensional posters. Also the exposure quality is pretty shoddy, and most of the panorama looks blown out like an amateur porn film. Not sure if I would pull the $2,800 trigger to get 12 cams, but it's promising for the future.

There are a variety of different way to create the 3D 360 Video. The gear does a great job at filming the content in 3D 360 Video full sphere, 3D horizon, 2D top in 360 and 3D Horizon, 3D top. After it has been created teh work flow can be tweaked to match different players and I'm still working on those details.

In the FAQ section we go over the work flow and how the content is created to prevent the cross eye process. This software I am still learning. http://www.360heros.com/faq/

The below link will take you to where you can buy a 360 degree lens for any camera. it uses a conical mirror. The software that comes with it outputs the image from one camera to a 360 degree video/image that can be viewed by the rift. good to see this tech already existes for live action VR

Can you set manual exposure in on the Hero? Having the exposure fluctuate between different cameras would case some pretty bad artifacting. OP have you also looked into the Ricoh Theta?

The kickstarter for this lens states:
"We also deploy advanced techniques that simulate the 3D environment in a very realistic way to make 360x3D. This simulation also doubles the resolution without stretching the image. This then delivers close to double Quad HD per eye or 14xHD of data for the Oculus display to manipulate with our software. This is the same as a total of 22MP at 22 FPS or 11MP per eye."

But the product website doesn't give any info on this. I'm left wondering what is the hardware/software setup required to make 360 3d panoramas with this gear?

I had to waste $100’s of in getting my camera repaired. It fell from the mount while capturing the video. The camera holders are not able to hold the camera properly.

Low quality and highly priced camera mounts. The mount does not pose any quality and are more prone to breakdown.

I was elated seeing this 360hero mount and was excited to use it. But when I got the product the reality is distant far from what is sold here. This is big scam guys!!

I was impressed by reading the product description and became sad as i received the product. The image is just an illusion; the real product does not have much relation to it. Now i am looking to buy new mount that can help me.

360Heros mount is not at all worth the price. The mount cannot hold the hero camera and every time the camera falls from the mount when I try to use the mount.
