3D Sound with Oculus
I was wondering if there are any plans to include headphones for 3D sound with the Rift. It would be nice to have an already comfortable and compatible sound device to add to the immersion. Instead of buying an expensive sound system which may have to be loud to be fully immersed and bother the neighbors, or buying another high quality sound headset that does not fit right with the Rift? Has this been considered?

- FlameHazeHonored GuestIt would probably add too much to the cost. Good quality comfortable headphones are £50+ over here. Considering almost every person that buys a Rift will have an audio solution already, it seems a waste to me. :?

It's possible you're right, however to assure a quality experience with the rift I would be glad to at least have a an "Oculus Rift tested and approved" headset that meets the criteria of comfort and 3D sound fidelity most of us are looking for especially across platforms as many hope. I would love to see a eventually console devoted to the use of VR technology, though at the moment the PC seems to have the lead on it.
