10 years agoA teacher looking for game testing opportunities.
Hello,
I'm a communications technology teacher in Ontario, Canada.
I managed to get a bit lucky this year and have partnered with an educational research company out of Seattle. We are going to be looking at how VR may add or subtract from learning.
I've got a cool opportunity because I'm the teacher in charge! I'm trying to find connections between Rift demos/experiences and course curriculum...As we are going for a cross-curricular approach (not programming, but whether or not VR experiences can help students make connections to content they are exploring in their other courses).
I thought it would be a cool opportunity, as I teach about 90 students, and also run a gaming club (of about 40 students) to give my students an authentic experience.
I'm looking for developers who are working on projects that would like play-testers.
I'd be able to get a bunch of students to play through your game, and they are willing to provide feedback to your specifications. This doesn't necessarily tie in to the research we are exploring, but I'm hoping that we'll come across some cool content that I'll be able to use in other curriculum areas...Also, again, it provides the students with an authentic experience. They are writing to an audience who is will to listen to their feedback.
We currently have 1 DK2, and will be receiving 2 more. So we'll be able to get a lot more people through once we get 3 Rift stations running.
If you can send me a PM I will get in touch with my professional email address and we can get the ball rolling!
Thanks for the opportunity.
