are battery packs considered input devices?

if i'm going to power other usb devices by the rift, will is it possible to have that power also power the rift?

having it check where the power is coming from each time or at all times?

it seems likely it will power the USB slot on the rift DK2, too. can i make a battery pack to power the rift with that power slot, yet? i am aware i can make it power the usb part and work out something with usb HDMI capturers later. thanks
