Autodesk Stingray

New game engine from Autodesk just announced yesterday! Will it support or integrate the Oculus SDK?

  • This is interesting, and I'd like to find out more. With 2 very powerful and mature engines already (in Unity and Unreal) it would seem hard for another to take hold. Though competition is good and I'd be willing to give it a shot just to see what's out there.
  • I think it has a shot, if anything but because of the compatibility with other Autodesk products. Imagine a drag and drop workflow much like the Adobe workflow.
  • Yes, a good content workflow is key. I have discovered a bug with UE4 where it won't reimport assets when you change them, unless your project is in the "My Documents" folder. Seems crazy that something so fundamental is hard-coded in the engine. I will dig in and see if I can fix it with the source code, but why is this basic key feature broken?
