Basic questions

hello, I am brand new to the Oculus rift. I just order dk1(I'm 15 and cant afford the new model) and I was wondering if I can use the oculus rift as a hdmi monitor for an xbox 360 w/out using the gyro...

The Rift is currently a Development Kit intended for game developers. It only works on PC, Mac, and Linux (soon), and only with compatible content. It DOES NOT work AT ALL on Xbox/Playstation or Blu-Ray/DVD players. Even on the PC, you can't just play any game, only the selection of specially made apps.
