hello, I am brand new to the Oculus rift. I just order dk1(I'm 15 and cant afford the new model) and I was wondering if I can use the oculus rift as a hdmi monitor for an xbox 360 w/out using the gyro...
chances are at some point someone supports HDMI capture cards that you can hook up your console/mediaplayer to and then you can play games in a virtual theater (maybe even with 3D support).
I always wanted to give it a try (since I already have the HDMI capture hardware), but so far have not taken the time to do so. I can see 3D from PS3/PS4 being a fun thing with the DK2.
