The IPD reported by the Oculus software can easily be seen in Live for Speed, which you can download from www.lfs.net - to enter VR mode it's Options... View... 3D. After you are in VR, you can see the IPD on the top right in View Options. You can see that at first it will be 64mm, regardless of the slider position. That is, until the slider is moved a fraction. It's getting a bit boring reporting the same simple bug so many times.
@cybereality was away for a while, so that may be why he has not responded even though so many people have been confirming this bug in previous posts.
@tomf it seems would rather assume the bug doesn't really exist and that we are just a bunch of lunatics, so he doesn't have to spend a few minutes looking into it.
