Building the OculusSDK Samples
I am using MS Visual C++ 2010 express (free) and wanted to build the samples but you need to have the DirectX SDK installed and you need to setup the Include and Lib directories. You do not need t...
Many times even carefully done directions can go wrong.
I got compilation errors in d3dx11 header files.
Hence the usual culprit is the correct in order application of
SDKs. I got a brand new pc+win7+gtx670 on the
news of oculus, so my compiler ide, sdk etc installation is untainted.
I successfully googled two notes regarding fixit correct sdk installation
order that may give some tips for the disheartened.

just the 5 bullets for setting up the environment for Visual Studio 2010
