Buying a Laptop for VR use in the USA
Hi Guys
Wondering if anyone in the USA could point me in the right direction to purchase a Laptop that has gaming origins.
Im advising a client on what laptops they need to run a demo at an event, and being based in the UK im not sure of any specialist companies in the US. The demo is not too intensive so i was thinking something like the following http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np4658-clevo-w650sf-p-6995.html
Has anyone herd of xoticpc before, as i obviously want to recommend a decent company to my client. Or am i best just looking on the Best Buy webpage?
Any help would be massively appreciated..

- CubicleNinjasProtegeI was looking at the Falcon Northwest DRX, but after researching I think the reality is it might be best to get a compact tower. After seeing Falcon Northwest's Tikis in use for a VR event I think I may be leading this way. They're relatively small and yet powerful.
Love to hear what they go with! - saviorntProtegeTook a look at the Falcon configurator..
A bit over $11,000 USD for a computer.. (building myself for 7k). :?
Although, the paint job on it is cool! - CubicleNinjasProtege

The pricing is extreme. Only recommended for client-use where they can stomach the cost.
Here is a thread about using Alienware laptops for demo purposes. It sounds very promising if turning Optimus off is a key command and a potential reboot away. And it is about 2/3 less. :) - lhlProtegeClevo's are fine, although the one you linked with an 840M may be underpowered. If you're looking to minimize size, the Clevo W230SS is a 13" relatively compact laptop w/ an 860M (a little short of a desktop 750Ti). The 860M is the only mobile Maxwell part currently available - depending on your timeline it might be better to wait for the 9XXM mobile parts. The 980M/970M have been announced. The ASUS ROG G751 will have a 980M version and should be out shortly (announced at IFA). I haven't seen any other models yet, but they should be coming out this month.
- ConstellationAdventurerThere are some issues with NVIDIA Optimus which are well documented in these forums. It's hard to find a laptop without it but in my research I found that the ASUS ROG G750JX and G750JH models don't have it.
