I have a GT72 with a GTX980M. I can confirm that it doesn't use Optimus. You have a switch button to use Intel HD or Nvidia, reboot needed.


Seconded; works very well.

I don't know why Oculus doesn't simply build a list of approved laptops; lugging around a suitcase build for demos is simply impractical and unsightly for professional environments and demos.
