Colour accurracy of DK2 display

I modelled and textured a game character. The skin looks natural when viewed on my LCD and CRT monitors but through the rift the colours are off i.e. skin shadows are brownish.

I'm convinced that the LaCie CRT monitor is more accurate as it used to be a high-end display in it's day. But the calibration might have rolled off...

Should I adjust the colours in my textures to look good on the CRT or Rift?

I can't find the colour accuracy specs for DK2. Does anyone know if it's capable of displaying the full sRGB spectrum?

The last thing I want to happen is for the textures to look completely different when I open the game in 6 months on the consumer version.

  • Just loaded the *.icm profile from reddit using gnome-color-manager and see no difference. Maybe because it's a Windows profile...

Has anyone tried the Hugski hardware colour calibrator with their rift?

Does this have any effect in Direct Mode?
  • I don't have anything that runs in direct mode other then RitftUtil which crashes when I try to open the desk scene.
Colour profiles seem to be working OK as I can select presets and they automatically apply.
